Congradulations Brock, Tanya

Thought I'd send you an update on our Eco-gift for your wedding. We're in the works for a few projects but have so far purchased our new washer in Energy Star fashion:

(I've attached a nice picture from the website, although ours is actually white, not blue :)

These are the other projects that we're working on:

My plan to get a composter (from a local Kamloops store):

We went to the First Annual Kamloops Energy Fair this weekend!

We've booked an Eco-Audit with HomeWorks...
http://www.homeworks.ca/

they'll assess our energy consumption, make suggestions on where to spend our money to make our home more energy efficient, and we can contract with them to do the work.

Our plans include:

1) Insulating the attic (currently 2 inches of insulation ONLY!) with eco-friendly insulation
2) Replacing our 31-year-old 3-door sliding glass door with a new one - the difference will be astronomical! We'll send pictures of it when its done.
3) Replacing the three other windows in our home
4) Replacing our hotwater tank with a tankless, on-demand hot water heater.

We could mention all the other things we already do, but they're just part of our everyday life already, not something "new" for your gift. (ie. our own bags to the grocery store, recycle everything -no plastic in Kamloops, though!!, Shaklee cleaning products, organic coffee grown in Kelowna, never drive-thru, etc)

Cheers!
Loni and Jason
