Realizing that this fact is probably the case for our lives as well, a little light bulb turned on above our heads… actually it was a little compact fluorescent light bulb to be specific.

Both of us decided soon after that we’d put our heads together to make our wedding day extra special, by focusing the attention of that special day not only on us as a couple, but on what is important to us as individuals.

Choosing an eco-theme was easy for us because the issue of global warming has become a huge concern as of late. The two of us know that the threat is real but that much more needs to be done to build upon the momentum ignited by people such as Al Gore. Creating an eco-theme has presented us with many challenges so far and will continue to do so as the wedding day approaches, but we are learning so much along the way, and the process of reducing the event’s ecological footprint is actually a lot of fun.
